London Southbank Fire Spinning

A pretty special event every month London’s fire-spinning community converges by the Thames, with the fire spinners doing their thing just after sunset on Ernie’s Beach in front of Gabriel’s Wharf. Keep an eye out on their Facebook page for the next event

My first visit and certainly a challenge to photograph… so many different options, my approach this time see below.

My initial idea and used to take these images. Long shutter speeds (c.3 secs) to capture the light trails and also set the fire spinning into its setting with the River Thames and City as a wonderful backdrop. Olympus EM1 II with 12-100mm f4 lens and combined stabilisation …one of the best for hand held long exposures
